Two Simple Problems You May Experience When Passing Over Under

In the sequence of any technique, there are break points. These are specific moments where the attack can be countered.

Over the years, I’ve called those moments micro battles, and they exist everywhere.

In fact, let me give you an example.

Imagine being in a strong over under position. You’re dropping the pressure down on them like bag of concrete, and you feel that the pass is inevitable.

Then it happens.

You get swept out of nowhere.

Whoa.

How did that happen?

The vulnerability is such a small thing too. It’s just the placement of a bit of pressure. A little bit of a grip shift, in fact. But it makes all the difference. And in the video below, you can see that adjustment demonstrated and also learn how to deal with another vulnerability after the pass.

Enjoy.
